Architects, The house has three floors. At the top level is projected to each room from the core of the house. On this floor the windows are folded to reveal specific views of the landscape and buildings – one David Chipperfield Museum of Modern Literature in the valley, in Marbach am Neckar. The new building echoes the “family archeology” by duplication and rotation. Raised, it creates a semi-public space on ground level between two layers of discretion. The spatial configuration of the city performs a sophisticated connection between inside and outside spectacular views and offers more of the old town of Marbach and the German literature archive on the other side of the Neckar valley.
